Ladoix Blanc 2018
Ladoix Blanc: coming from « Toppe d’Avignon » parcel, composed by clay soil that covers a bed of Comblanchien limestone rocks on a gentle South-oriented slope. Gourmand and fresh, its notes of grilled pear and white flowers give place to a wide, generous mouthfeel that is straight and mineral.
Soil and climate
The ”Toppe d’Avignon” is located on a gently sloping slope facing south. The clay soil rests on limestone rocks known as “Comblanchien”.
Chardonnay, qualitative rootstock 161-49.
Average age: 30 years, 10,000 plants / ha. Yield: 40hl / ha
Environmentally friendly and sustainable
Pressing in whole grapes with a light settling followed by immediate setting in piece. Alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts and malolactic in barrels.
On lees, reductive aging in barrels without racking, with riddling without SO2 for 12 months.
Gourmet and fresh, its notes of grilled pears and flowers give way to a full, straight and mineral palate.
