Domaine Bassac on perhetila Puisaliconissa, pienessä keskiaikaisessa kylässä Languedocin sydämessä Etelä-Ranskassa. Tilaa viljellään samoja periaatteita kunnioittaen kuin useat sukupolvet aikaisemmin: luonnon ehdoilla, maaperää vaalien ja viiniköynnösten tasapainoa kuunnellen. Domaine Bassacin viinitarhat kattavat noin 80 hehtaaria Puissaliconin ja naapurikylä Thézan-lès-Béziers’n ympäristössä. Tarhat koostuvat monipuolisista maaperätyypeistä, joiden mukaan rypälelajikkeet on valittu. Viljelyssä on laaja valikoima lajikkeita, mutta erityisesti punaisista rypäleistä korostuvat Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah ja Cabernet Franc, valkoisista taas Chardonnay ja Sauvignon Blanc.

Kellarissa viinit valmistetaan ja pullotetaan tilalla. Bassacin tyyli on puhdas, hedelmävetoinen ja helposti lähestyttävä, mutta samalla huolellisesti tehty ja alkuperälleen uskollinen. Viineissä yhdistyvät Etelä-Ranskan kypsä aromikkuus, raikas juotavuus ja luomuviljelyn tuoma luonnollinen elinvoima. Domaine Bassac is a family estate located in Puisalicon, a small medieval village in the heart of Languedoc in southern France. The estate is cultivated according to the same principles that have guided several generations before: working with nature, caring for the soil, and respecting the natural balance of the vines. Today, the estate is run by Jean-Philippe Leca, who oversees the vineyards and winemaking, and François Delhon, who is responsible for marketing, communication, and sales.

Bassac’s philosophy is based on organic farming and the belief that high-quality wine begins with living, healthy soil. Maintaining a sustainable balance between the vines and their surrounding environment is central to the estate’s work. The wines are intended to clearly reflect their origin: the climate, the soil, the grape variety, and the careful work of the people behind them.

Domaine Bassac’s vineyards cover around 80 hectares around Puissalicon and the neighbouring village of Thézan-lès-Béziers. The vineyards are made up of a diverse range of soil types, and the grape varieties have been chosen according to the character of each site. The estate cultivates a wide selection of varieties, with Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Cabernet Franc standing out among the red grapes, and Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc among the whites.

In the cellar, the wines are vinified and bottled at the estate. Bassac’s style is pure, fruit-driven and approachable, yet carefully made and faithful to its origins. The wines combine the ripe aromatic character of southern France, fresh drinkability and the natural vitality brought by organic farming. Domaine Bassac represents modern Languedoc at its best: responsible, unpretentious and high-quality wines where terroir is clearly expressed in the glass.
